Rhiannon Hopkins

Rhiannon is a Norwich-born Actor-Musician, Musical Director and Composer. After achieving grade eight on both the piano and clarinet at the age of thirteen, Rhiannon turned her attention to dance and went on to train at Bodywork Company Studios in Cambridge where she graduated with a distinction (and a prize in choreography) in 2013. Soon after graduating, Rhiannon travelled the world as a dancer and musician respectively - working with both Princess Cruises and P&O.

She has since been lucky enough to work as a musical director, actor-musician and dancer on various productions. She recently finished as Assistant Musical Director on the UK & Ireland Tour of Michael Fentiman's critically acclaimed adaptation of 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe', in which she also played the roles of Miss Chutney and Blue Badger.

Previous to this she worked as Assistant Musical Director on the UK Tour of ‘Fantastically Great Women Who Changed The World’ (Kenny Wax Productions) and played the role of Vi Petty in the 30th Anniversary UK Tour of ‘The Buddy Holly Story’.

As a writer she co-wrote and musically directed original musical comedy ‘Love Me Tinder’ with Julie Atherton, was a finalist in the Musical Comedy Awards 2021 and the winner of the International Songwriting Award for comedy.

Her eclectic background allows her a varied perspective and understanding of how art forms interact and complement each other to create something magical for an audience.

‘The whole cast were exceptional tonight, and they all brought their unique musical stylings to the show. One member of the cast, Rhiannon Hopkins, brought quite a few, with multiple lyrical performances as well as stints on the piano and saxophone. She certainly took the M.V.P. of the supporting cast medal for me tonight.’
